Welcome to Gatorsports.com/tailgating. It’s our tribute to
one of America’s
finest institutions – the game day experience.

We say experience because tailgating encompasses so many
things. First and foremost, it’s a gathering of friends, family and fans. Once
assembled, though, tailgaters are all about the business of eating, drinking
and having some serious fun.

And we’ll be right there with you, posting stories, video,
photos and much more to this site. But that’s only the beginning.

Tailgating is all about you, so we want this to be a place
where you interact with us and with each other.

Use our message boards to meet up, share recipes for food
and drinks, find out where to go at home and on the road.

Post entire galleries of your tailgating photos on Zoom, our
photo community. The directions are quick and easy.

And I’ll do my best to be your guide (it’s a tough job, I
know). Every Saturday, you can follow Gatorsports online and on your mobile
device with our new Twitter micro-blog.

It’s http://twitter.com/Gator_sports

I’ll be posting reports and photos live from the tailgating trenches,
so make sure you sign up to follow our tweets.

The next home game for the Florida Gators is a big one – LSU
comes to Gainesville
on Oct. 11 for a nationally televised game at 8 p.m. So for all of those
die-hard tailgaters who get started at dawn –

Whew! That’s some serious tailgaiting.
